Diffraction Limit (GRD) & Wavelength

GRD is directly proportional to wavelength (λ). LWIR (10µm) has a diffraction spot ~20x larger than Visible (0.5µm), requiring much larger apertures to achieve the same resolution.

GSD vs. Off-Nadir GSD

Standard GSD is at Nadir. Tilting the sensor degrades resolution (stretches pixels). The tool calculates this degradation based on angle.

Motion Smear

Distance vehicle moves during exposure. Must be <1 px for sharp images.
